Fibre Art by Wendo
I had an amazing job in animation for the past 33 years. I worked on Traditional Feature Animated Films. I was one of the "drawers". Once the computer took over, I realized I wanted to keep working with my hands, so I started my fibre art business.
My job in animation has been a large influence on my work and I like to create fun whimsical sculptures in wool. I use the technique called needle felting to poke and tease wool fibres in to place, whether it's a landscape or a 3 dimensional character. I’ve been doing this for 15 years and I’m still finding new ways to use wool and wire.
